Hi Guys,
I am newbie CGN. My wife and I began trap shooting (16 yards) this year. What a nice couple and social activity. We both shoot with a Benelli nova pump 12g 28'' mod choke. Or average is 20 and 15. She is 5'3'', 110. She take the Benelli recoil with no problem (1 1/8 oz, 3 dram). We don't want to pay more than 800$. What are your advices? Women CGN advices are welcome, as she will read them as well. Thanks.

Find a gun that fits her well and comes up nice, then work from there. Mine likes the weatherby sa08 fit or any browning, but the weatherby is a light gun so it gives a bit more recoil then a heavy gun like a mossburg500. The best for most trap is a break action but they can get pricy, some go with semi auto but they can get dirty fast and have alot of moving parts to wear. Any pump is easy, not many moving parts to wear or break or clog up easy. So a pump, try looking for a mossburg pump, an older wingmaster pump or even a weatherby PA08 pump. Most break action start about the $900 and up for anything, and a decent one is about $1500. A cheap but reliable break action i have is a baikal sxs i picked up for $225 and they are workhorses like any russian gun.

I have a SX3 that is a fine gun for anything but I hate chasing shells on the Skeet and Sporting Clays field. You can get a nice used over under for around your budget. Miroku or Browning.
