I've got a couple of decent .410's. My mint .410 Remington 870 Wingmaster with a fixed Mod choke can break clays, and knock down pheasants/grouse a surprisingly long way out there. My Browning 725 Sporter .410 has changeable chokes of course and I use the Sk/I/C combo for all my skeet shooting now, and that is a perfect combo for that. On the Sporting Clays range with the .410 I normally use the Mod/Imp Mod combo, but will change them up as required. A couple of pellets from a .410 breaks the clays just as hard as a couple of pellets from a 12 ga or otherwise. The shot string is a bit different, that's the main difference, along with not quite so many pellets in the pattern out there.
