Trapping in Ontario?

Trapping licence

Go to your local Minestry of natural resources,They should have all the info that you will need. Also check out your local community collages as some time they can offer a trappers course put on by local Trappers.Good luck.

Finish your university degree, son, and make real money. Trapping is a great activity but (with YOUR champagne tastes!) you will starve to death on a trap line!

Love,

Dad

PS) When you are home we can perhaps go speak with two of my friends who are trappers...........

Well this isn't a full time job I'm after, just a recreational activity which will provide me with some furs, some meat and a wilderness carry permit 8)

cheers
John

Well, I dont mean to hijack (the question seems to have been answered), but if anyone reading this thread had any idea on where to go in Quebec for the information... I would appreciate it.

I've got some problem beavers on my lots, and instead of taking care of the problem somewhat illegally, I figure it would be fun to take care of it with traps and learn something in the process. I hear the course is excellent, but have no idea where one would go.

**EDIT** I found the information for those that may be interested.

You can find yourself a nice young native girl, she may not need a license, makes for great recreational activity and with a bit of luck you will have the "fur and meat" part covered pretty good
