Trapping wolves coyotes etc.

I recently overheard some prople talking about trapping wolves or predators in general. They had been talking about covering a large three pronged hook with frozen meat and hanging it from a tree or around the trunk....anyways they seem to think the wolf eats it whole and it pulls its guts out? Has anybody tried or heard of this before??

i dont think there is a province or a territory where you can trap that way legally.

you need a trappers licence for starters , second that is completely inhumain. I have heard of guys doing that ... but the storys always ended " its totally illegal "

I finished the trapping course in bc and I highly doubt that this could be done legally anywhere in canada . Canadian trappers have some of the most advanced and humane trap designs in the world. Sounds very illegal.
