Well I think its time to shell out for a ladder tree stand.

I have been pursuing amazon.ca

https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=tree+stand

Wondering what you guys use and if you have an tips or suggestions for a first time buyer ?

Thanks in advance.

I have 3 Big Game 2 man ladderstands. Very solid and reasonably priced(200 or less) 2 of them have been up for more than 10 years and not so much as a broken strap. I like the extra room of the 2 man stands and I'm not a little guy. Only thing against them is they are not very comfortable.

I just googled them... So no backing eh ?

If your gonna get a ladder stand, two man is the way to go... Lots of room for your bag and to get comfortable if it's gonna be a long sit.

Have several ladder stands set up, much used in Bow Season.
For the later months, prefer free standing deer stands.

I haven't. To be honest I wasn't sure on their safety value. Input ?

They're very safe to use, especially the models with a bar/gun rest across the front as it's nearly impossible to fall out and I have tried multiple times to get mine to slip on a tree without success. I have used hang on along with ladder stands and the only one I will ever use is a climber. Due to it being so quiet and convenient to use it's great for slipping in somewhere and setting up wherever you'd like while a hang on or ladder requires much more effort.

No need for multiple stands, if you need to try a different location for whatever reason you just go and climb a tree. You can take whatever size "steps" you'd like according to your fitness level and setup at whatever height you'd like. They really are great.
