This is some pic of my homemade rail for the TRG rifle, will post pic when armacoated and installed on the rifle.

i have milled the rail out of square bar with picatinny spec found on the web and then milled the rail to fit the TRG handguard...

Shure some can do better but i like mine and it is VERY strong...

BTY, i found it way much to long so i'am thinking cuting the rail in 2 x 4inches rail, i may have one part for sale PM me if interested...

Impressive work. I almost gave in to buying a TRG, but instead went for "something else". If you hadn't mentioned it in the post, I'd say it's an accessory straight from Sako.

Well done.

nicely done, but if you part that rail in half, then a person would end up buying a tapered rail that would fit in either in the back of the track or the front (depending on which halfyou kept). correct?

I have do the reverse angle of the forearm so the rail is in parallel with the barrel so the rail don't seem to go UP and look bad.

from what i have tried, ALL the accessories will fit down to the end of the rail, i have 1/16in space between the stock AND the rail at the end.

The only reason i have do this work is to install a short vertical grip at the front, i use this rifle for hunting moose and cariboo and i since a i have to walk around 4km each day, it's a WAY much easyer to carry So Miling 4inches or 10 inches, it makes no differences... lolll

thank's for your comment's

it certainly looks cool as all get out. I have to see pics of your gun with a forward grip on it though, that's gotta be weird ass!!!!!(in a good way).
do you sling your gun? if so, do you sling it on the side at the front, or on the bottom where the rail is?

No my friend, i NEVER sling my gun, i can carry her in my hand few hours with no probs, where i hunt, in ma area. I have used the front leg of the bi-pod for the left hand and the rear grip with my right hand... this is when i got the idea of the small grip and the front rail.
When i carry her for LONG TIME or on the ski-doo or ATV, i use a Eberlestock backpack, nobody should hunt without this kind of bag lolll
loll Will post pic as soon as the tiny grip is here
