Since the last "oiling" 2 years ago, my trigger feels sticky in the first stage. I think the culprit is the oil that I poored in the trigger group. It might have "dryed".

Can I put the trigger group in the ultrasonic cleaner with warm sopy water ?

If so, what are the critical lube spots that will equires lube after the bath ?

I use that rifle as much in +25 as in -20 celcius.

Thanks

Unless the Sako is using some sort of non-metallic parts in the trigger mech, it should be completely safe to put it into the cleaner. The only thing is that you will need to oil it with a quality gun oil after cleaning. I find that a lot of the poorer gun oils/non-gun oils can actually gum up the trigger parts of a bolt gun. I had to disassemble two of my friends triggers and clean them because they ceased to function safely after being lubricated with some bad gun oil. I think it was either the Remington brand oil or the really cheapo stuff from Wal-Mart (name escapes me). If you are shooting it in -25, I wouldn't oil it at all. Oil will freeze.

I had the same issue with my TRG22 trigger years back, I used gun scrubber and a toothbrush and then lubed with the oil I used. Never been a problem since.
