I tried the LR at 100 yards today.

- Ran out of elevation, groups are with holdover
- A fellow was shooting a .338 beside me at the range, groups not as good as it could be due to having the s**t scared out of me from time to time
- Using high velocity, non-match quality ammo. (America Eagle 38 grain HP's)
- 5 shot groups @ 100 yards.
- Groups were about 1.5" average (some less, some more)
Conclusion: impressed. Groups look better in person then in photo. For using a non-match ammo in less then ideal conditions, I am happy. It can only get better.

Thanks for looking.

You should (being the key word), be able to tighten those groups up a bit.
Nice rifle btw.

Thank you. I believe with properly formed ammo and without having a .338 blasting in my ear I could have it down to 1" or less.

Thanks guys. I actually had a metallic gopher swinger set at 100 Yards beside the target board and I was able to hit it all the time  :D

Wind is a big factor at range with 22 LR

Actually everything can send a 22 LR slightly off course. Even temperature can have an effect. Your groupings at that range are very fine. Congrats.

Until you fix your scope so that you can hit the middle, Im
not sure we can continue to call you "Bull's Eye"... ha ha Just kidding.

My Son just shot some of those bullets through his mod. 64 cooey
with similar results. For a cheap bullet their not too bad.

With all the time and money you put into that rig .... I suggest you try some match ammo!?!?:runaway:

I am wanting too, its just I haven't been able to find any around where I live. I rather shoot match ammo then anything else.

Targetshootingproducts (north sylva) is a good place to order lapua/anschutz/eley, ect from. Lapua super club works very well in my 10/22, better than Eley Tenex Ultimate EPS...

Make sure you talk to Peter.

I will give them a call soon. I actually spent some of my ammo funds on about 1200 rounds of WMR ammo, 500 CCI TNT's and 750 Winchester Super-X. Ellwood Epps actually had a wack of Winchester WMR ammo in stock.
