With winter knocking on the door I figured I had better get out today to practice the open ,peep sights on my Anschutz 1813 supermatch.
I made up some targets myself at Staples last week to make sure I could get it all on one 11x17 piece of paper.
I found it very difficult to tell which circles I was shooting at as you can see in target #2 I shot the bottom LH target 10 times mistaking it for the center.
I did manage a best group of the day with center X at .231 and the worst was a .966.
I also found it hard on my neck and eyes trying to concentrate,I think its time to mount an optic
I may resume the open sight challenge again later but I think it's time to mount an optic and see what this rifle is capable.
I did manage 5 groups under a half inch today just not on the same target!!!
