Tried the Baur Arms mag today. At first, It was so stiff I thought it was not going to load at all. After putting 200 rounds into it it started to work ok. It seems to eject the 5th round and at some times jams till you wear it in. Its a pain in the ass to load into it, nothing lines up and it will push some rounds forward out of the clip. I find the original sks mag starts to bite at my fingers when hand loading bullets unlike the plastic one that won't.

Hmm I got one a few weeks ago and it worked alright. Like yours it was very stiff but after 100 rounds it worked fine. I had few problems with jamming. The problem with the rounds pushing out forward is easily solved, just keep the tips of the bullets pointed up while loading the mag.

Good tip, I heard they made new ones but I havent seen them yet. Not sure if the mag caused this but i had a light primer strike, I thought it was a miss fire when i cleared the camber and looked at the bullet it looked like 1/4 of the priemer was struck

I used mine yesterday. The only issue was the last round popping loose a couple time before the bolt could chamber it. It's been happening less and less and I believe storing the mag loaded helps remedy the excess spring strength underneath the follower over time. When it stops happening completely I'll return to storing the mags empty.

These mags also load very well with stripper clips. I cut all my stripper clips in half and turned them into 5 round stripper clips. After market rear iron ghost ring with 5 round stripper clips and a buar mag is a good configuration.

I have 6 of them, all load easily with strippers,no problems with any of them after filing the rear to fit nicely.
I did manage to snap the plastic lip off the front of one of them though :(
