I have been in Michigan for a week now (business trip) and decided to stop at Silver Bullet Firearms in Grand Rapids, MI. Awesome place with really nice people. There is a huge wall with 60 different handguns that you can try. So I pick up the Glock 26 and the Beretta cougar in .380

Sorry for the poor quality pics. They were taking from my cell phone.

First off this was my first time shooting a Glock and I really liked it. The grip was bigger than what I thought. The recoil wasnt bad and my overall experience with this Glock was perfect. As for the Beretta Cougar, I felt like I had my 92 FS Compact in my hand. This was my first time shooting the .380 caliber and was supprise to see that this caliber was giving a pretty good kick.

After my handgun cession I tried the Beretta CX4 9mm and the Kriss in .45 ACP.

I could a spent 2 days at this place just shooting what they had available for the general public. The total cost was $125.00 USD for 4 boxes of ammo with 4 firearms and the range time.

I will for sure go back in there on my next trip to Michigan.

I've used the 17/22,19/23, and 26/27 twins more then a few times, had a 23 for a while. I like shooting them, but due to my stance and hold, every compact Glock I've ever used (including the 10mm and 45 versions) bounce ejected brass off my forehead. Makes it hard to concentrate on my shooting. Nice guns for all that, though. - dan

its nice to get a chance to shoot a original glock 26 sub compact the way it is meant to be shot...its soo ultra rare to see one of those here at a range (ive never seen one), i only had a chance to shoot a glock 27 in its original form as well as a M&P 40C, but i would love to try the 9mm variants as i dont really like the snappy 40 cal in such small guns

I've shot a G26 (with our ridiculous Canadian barrel length requirement) and I thought the small size would make it very unmanageable but I actually found it to shoot very soft and it was way more comfortable to shoot than expected!

I've not fired the sub-compacts, just seen them, what gets me, is that the action part of the gun, is the same size, as the full size ones. I guess knew that, but to see one side by side with a Glock 17, and the grip length and barrel/slide length is the only obvious difference, just seems a little odd.

Have one also, shoots very well, funny the extra barrel length does not get in the way and actually makes it more lethal!!
