trigger adjustment on stevens 200

does anyone know if you can adjust the trigger pull on the stevens 200 made by savage arms? I was searching around the net and a couple people mention that it can be done but i couldn't find any links on how to do it. I would appreciate any help or links anyone can provide for me.

I think the owners manual describes how to do this. It's not hard, take the gun out of the stock and turn a screw...

P.S. I adjusted the triggers on both my wife's and my stevens 200, you'll like the gun, both of ours shoot under 1 inch at 100 with factory ammo...

my stevens 200 came with a manual for a savage with the accutrigger so I don't have the manual for the stevens 200

The above diagram is not quite right. The Stevens 200 trigger does not have the sear engagement screw on it as illustrated by key No. 1.

Open and close the bolt rapidly many times after you are done adjusting. Be sure it does not fire when the bolt is closed.
