so on my quest for cost effective improvements I picked up new trigger innards for my norinco....

Hammer
trigger/sear
tubb trigger spring
pins

The spring and sear have brought me down to a 4.5-4.25lb pull with 1,000,000% less creep than I started with(not sure if Im gonna use it or get a trigger job as its in the "danger zone" for safe functioning from what Ive read). However I tried replacing the hammer and it seems the new beretta hammer is binding on the norinco trigger housing. Anyone heard of this happening? Should I try lapping the contact points a bit?

id leave it as is but I wanna get that norinco part out of there and use up this new hammer....

First figure out your hammer issue and see if it brings you back into the safe zone above 5lbs break.

Where is your hammer binding?

Once you have it fitted, to increase trigger pull is possible if required. To a certain degree anyhow.
This is done by removing the "disconnector" from the trigger body and stoning several thou off the back of the trigger spine. This is done right where the forward edge of the disconnect would touch the spine when assembled and pushed forward. Stone a few thou, reassemble and test. Repeat as needed but there are limits. Gaining a 1/2 lbs is certainly possible.
