Hi guys, I have a Remington 7600 and I find the trigger a little stiff to pull, which causes me to shoot left alot, I'm a left handed shooter. Is there anything I can do to lessen the trigger pull tension
Thanx
Marc

These triggers are not really made to be worked on. I improved mine somewhat by gently stoning a slight radius on the edge of the sear, but it is still heavier than I like it.

Bullett, I do not mean to be rude, how much have you fired this particular beast? Rounds through the weapon will break that trigger in, removing machining marks & burrs. If after a couple of hundred rounds (max) this is still a problem I would look for a whole new trigger. Even mil spec mass produced triggers should wear in nicely after a few mags. Any stoning of the parts is risky, unless you are well versed. A heavy trigger pull can still be crisp.

I have done several.

Send me your factory trigger assembly (just 2 pins to punch out and it removes from the action) with $50 and I will work/adjust it to a crisp 2.5 pounds or more if you want it and return it by mail. 2.5 to 3 seems very popular. Some want less and I have gone as low as 1.5 pounds but not on a hunting rifle...

Anyone who has worked on triggers for 870 or 1100 trap guns will have no trouble improving a 760/7600. I'm sure Dennis has done more than a few. Modern day "parts switchers" are often mystified by what used to be commonplace gunsmithing tasks. Do as Dennis suggests and send him that trigger group. Regards, Bill.
