I have a Remington 721 in 300 H&H. I love the gun, but the trigger pull was coming in at 7 pounds. I adjusted the screw and now the pull comes in anywhere from 3 lbs 8 oz - to 4 lbs 7 oz.
Is this normal? Safe?
I painted the trigger screw with nail polish so that it won't move again. Did I do everything right? I did not touch any other screw - the creep or the sear.
The trigger feels much better now.
