As Im doing a "lighter" long range hunting rig to compliment my Sako TRG in .338 Lapua, I was curious what the other lads here use for triggers.

I fell in love with the two stage on my Sako TRG, and would probably be looking for a flat face or adjustable shoe trigger, probably two stage and with an adjustable pull. Names like Hubert and Timney keep coming up, does anyone have any adivxe and preferences?
Cheers
Robert

Huber 2 stage is pretty nice stuff. Tubb tt7 is used by a shooting partner of mine and he likes it alot. I perfer the bix n andy stuff

I have a Mod-22 on the way from X-treme in the US, based on the CG design. Pretty wide range of adjustment, now ordering a lyman pull tester to set it just right :)
I just noticed yesterday x-reload sells the Tubb one.
Hirsch precision sells the Timney Calvin Elite 2-stage.

When checking online a few weeks ago the Huber didn't seem to get as good feedback as other options available.

They are reeeeally expensive. If it turns out to be a ridiculously high price, Ill probably go with the two stage Calvin.
Thing is, I always thought 2 stage wasn't for me until I tried a good one.

Who can supply that Tubb trigger in Canada anyway? I saw it a while ago and thought it was quite a piece of engineering.

Price/value wise the Timney Calvin Elite 2 stage is probably hard to beat, around 1/2 the price of the very few other options.
Only real reason I didn't get one is that I needed one without safety. I plan to get the Timney when I do a different rifle that will have a safety though.

I think the Mod22 after shipping/taxes will come at around $500cad. A bit less $ than the Tubb and BixN Andy.

I have a couple of the cadex dx2, one is really good the other won't adjust as low as claimed, still works fine but I went with the Calvin elite 2 stage for my new build
