I'm planning a rebedding job and would like to remove the trigger assembly from the action. There are only two pins supporting it. My concern is whether these pins support the guts of the trigger in any way. DON'T ask why I'm concerned, but I'm getting to old to be looking for springs and bearings again. This particular action is from Manchester England if that matters. Your knowledge in this matter would be much appreciated.

Is it an adjustable trigger? If yes, then no, at least not on the many I've worked on.
BUT, there should only be 1 pin, located in the same place as any other M98 sear pin. Where are you seeing 2 pins, unless you're working on one with a DST. Then that is a different matter entirely.
Or, is it a Standard M98 Mauser non-adjustable trigger?
If that is what you're working on, then 1 of the pins holds the trigger; the other holds the sear.
Remove the pin holding the sear housing in place. It will be under pressure as the sear spring is held captive within the sear housing at the front.

Don't forget to back off the screw at the front that jams the rear of the trigger housing up to the bottom of the receiver. I will either be a slotted screw or a small allen screw.
