Where can I get a replacement spring for the trigger pull weight? The lowest I can set this with current spring is 3.9 - 4.1 lbs. I dont want to remove this spring and modify it without having a back-up or two. If someone knows of a source for an aftermarket lighter weight spring, that would be even better. I'd like to adjust the trigger to about 2.5 lbs without having to change the whole trigger. Thanks for any info.

Gleaned from the internet....
Browning has designed this trigger assembly in such a way that the entire assembly must be removed from the receiver in order to replace the weight of pull spring. It cannot be replaced by simply removing the weight of pull screw. If you are not familiar with rifle triggers, and how they work, this might be a job best left to your local gunsmith.

Also check here for some details http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Rifles-35561/X-Bolt-38594.htm?results=All
Check out image number 61... the $3.95 part.

Just an FYI moment.

Google erniethegunsmith he used to sell a replacement spring but quit because too many people we having trouble putting the triggers back together. Anyway before he took the instructions down I followed them and replaced mine on two Brownings with lighter springs I found in my spring drawer. It helped allot. Don't recall exact weight I'd have to check.

I replaced the entire trigger unit with one from JARD. They have a variety of trigger pull weights to choose from and can be changed by later swapping out different springs. They are expensive but the only place that sells replacement triggers for the X-bolt. It's just an option.
