What's everyone use to measure their trigger pull weight?
I was going to get a fish scale, but it didn't look very accurate and I need something that "holds" the highest setting after the gun has been fired and not reset back to zero.

Lyman electronic trigger pull gauge is excellent. Holds the setting and maintains a running average over 10 attempts. Further attempts can be made but the most recent attempts only are kept in memory.

Here's my pour man's method. I modify a 2L pop bottle to have an opening I can pour water into and hang it with a piece of coat hanger from the trigger. I pour in water slowly until the trigger goes click. I then weigh the assembly, or pour the water into a measuring cup and base the water's weight on 1g per ml of water. You have to add in a little for the dry weight of the bottle and piece of wire.

I use a fish scale (25 lb max) with a string. It works just as well as any $50+ trigger scale from a gun retailer.

Just use it when dry firing and examine the highest setting and write it down.
