I'm looking to upgrade my trigger in my magnum research 22 wmr. I'm aware that the internals from a 1022 lr will not work on a 22mag. Which one will work best? I'd love to get a volq but no one has any in stock in canada

I've emailed magnum research and they said a tg2000 should work in there magnums but don't get a magnum trigger group. I've also emailed kidd on their triggers (single stage and 2 stage) they said that either one should work fine in a magnum research .22 magnum. I have a tg2000 in one of my 10/22's but haven't tried it in the magnum research yet. Magnum reseach supposedly uses a standard 10\22 trigger group with a magnum hammer spring. Forgot to mention magnum research said as long as it's a newer model. Hope this helps a little.

I myself have a MR .22 Mag and you WILL require a TG2000 Magnum Trigger Assembly. Don't go buy a 10/22 assembly as the Magnum has a stiffer spring for the hammer.

I purchased mine trigger assembly from Milarm in Edmonton. Let me tell you, it makes the rifle that much better to shoot!!!!!

Finally got around to emailing volquartsen asked if the tg2000 for l.r. would be all right to use or if you need the tg2000 magnum trigger here's their response. If I remember correctly wheeler had to modify the his trigger group(file down the bolt release I think). Use your own discretion and good luck.

Kevin,

It should work however the biggest difference between our LR and Magnum trigger guards is the length of the bolt release. The magnum version is slightly longer than the LR version.

Both versions should work in that rifle though.

Great info! Yes u are rite. I had to cut a piece off with a zip cut on a grinder.then file it down. I forgot about that. I was pissed for the price I paid.

There u have it... A 10/22 TG2000 "should" work. I didn't want to be the guinea pig!! Lol

Awesome. I tracked one down at mil arm, last one lol it's a tg2000 magnum, so I guess I can expect to be doing some cutting on a 300 dollar trigger it looks like, thanks for the info
