I had one of these rifles in a .35 Whelen and I went and sold it because I hated the trigger pull on it. It had a pile of creep and I was told that it's not adjustable. Is there any kind of an after market trigger assembly for these rifles or something you can do to have a nice clean break when you pull the trigger?

Best regards,

It is a very easy trigger for a gunsmith to adjust it light and crisp. I usually charge $35 to $40 to do this on the Remington pumps and autos.... mind you there will be a very little bit of "takeup" but no creep...

there are no adjustment screws - it has to be worked....

Slooshark1,
There was an excellent article in a book called Big Bore, the name of the article was "Wildcat pump for the alaskan hunter". It gives a detailed description of how to tune the 7600s' trigger. I did this to my Whelen and it made a huge difference, but just like guntechs' there is still some takeup.

Good luck, Homesteader
