triggertech problems

For all of you who complain about the USD thing think about this. Where does the material to make the triggers come from, where do the tools they use to manufacutre the triggers, the machines etc. Trigger Tech is selling in USD because our dollar is a sad panda these days. I couldnt blame them. When a meterial order changes by several thousand due to the dollar change (even if they buy within Canada it still comes from the states and prices change based on the dollar). Does it suck sure is it the end of the world nope. They have a deal with Canada Ammo so you can buy in Canuck Bucks.

These guys make a great product, backed by an awesome warranty at a good price point. Its made in Canada, employs Canadians and is an innovation. People like you guys are the reason the gun industry blows in Canada. Always tooting your horn about something but are likely the first to buy garbage guns and NCSTAR gear that you will replace ten times over the years.

I have a flat faced AR trigger and a Remington 700 trigger. These things are well worth the money and you will end up spending a fair amount more getting something better.

ATRS makes much more product then Trigger tech and they price in CND dollars...You wanna keep things "Canadian" they keep it Canadian then. Your side rant about NC Star and garbage guns is ridiculous, I have many quality firearms and my last purchase was a Trigger Tech.
I for one hate the Americanization of our country.!!!!!

2centtactical you don't get it. the product is made here and probably uses canadian materials so why is the price in US dollars. you know it's funny how many companies sell products made in the US but they manage to charge in cdn. when you go to the grocery store do they charge in US.NO!! there is no excuse to charge in US$. oh and by the way most US manufacturers use more tools made offshore than in the US.
i know better than most of you how much product comes up from the US. i have been a truck driver for going onto 17 years and you have no idea how much comes here. you probably have no idea what goes south.
what about when the dollar was par and for example one small item HALLS cough drops are $2.87 here at walmart and at US walmart $1.68. wake up and smell the coffee and realize we are for the most part being ripped off.

If you go to the grocery store have you not noticed the price of produce shifting. Look at asparagus and how much it has changed in price. If they were to charge in Canadian dollars it would be much like the ammunition and guns we are buying now. The same gun that was $600 a few months ago is now $750. If they charge in USD the price can remain fairly stable and they wont have to change prices regularly.

They could charge in CAD but the price would fluctuate so they chose a stable(ish) currency.

Pretty much, I don't get why people are complaining about the USD pricing, just buy from a dealer that sells them in CAD. Will work out to be slightly cheaper that way anyways.

LOL, somebody just fell off the turnip truck me thinks. :)

I suppose... I just don't see the big deal. Several companies within Canada charge their customers in USD, sure its rare from companies to sell to retail customers in USD, but in my job I do see a fair amount of companies in Canada charging in USD.

Trigger Tech is selling the trigger for $129.99 USD, which would be $170.09 CAD - would be more if you use your credit card.
A site sponsor sells them for $159.99.

Buy from a sponsor, save some coin, and enjoy a quality trigger... or continue to complain and go with the more expensive alternative if you plan on getting an aftermarket trigger.

As for the comment made about when the pricing discrepancies when the dollar was on par, companies charge based on what they paid for. In the Halls case, the Walmart in Canada likely purchased that inventory well before the dollar was on par. Perishable products would be the only product who's price will more quickly be adjusted for exchange rate fluctuation as the inventory is purchased more frequently.

nthrxx- the Halls were bought the same day i got US money from a bank here in Winnipeg and i paid less than the $100 US cost. yes the prices fluctuate but not overnight. also when Chretien's government had our dollar down to .67 in 2001 and then when it came back up under Harper did you notice the prices go down. no you didn't. guns ammo powder bullets came down but most everything else like food didn't. i was picking up appliances for sears and yes i saw what they paid for them and the price never came down and if you factor in inflation the new price showed inflation and to make matters worse the new products are made in Mexico only warehoused in the US for most of the appliances.

2centTactical- i would like to know where you buy groceries in canada being charged US. doesn't happen. also produce prices change almost daily due to the turnover in inventory and where the produce comes from. do you have any idea how many countries we we get the same item from. your choice asparagus comes from here US China THailand etc. there are too many factors why prices change. also for your info i have bought the same produce here and in the US and our price was cheaper dollar for dollar no exchange examples are tomatoes english cukes carrots etc. etc.. yes most items are cheaper there than here but know your prices. thank god i live here when it comes to pills worse example is TRAJENTA a diabetes med. here at costco it is $217 for 90 pills. the US Walmart price is $1036. yes that is $1036 no typing error. also when the dollar was par i was looking at .22 rifles cabela's here and in the US. can't remember which ones but staff in the US told me buy in Canada because they were cheaper. also explain to me why powders made here are so much more than down in the US. real bad example is BUCKHORN 209 black powder substitute made here in CANADA. Cabela's Us is $35.99 and the only price i've seen here was $74.99 and i don't remember where.
