Ok guys real world experience . Jewel Br vs Triggertech Diamond for a benchrest rifle? I also looked at Bix N Andy but they seem to be over 500 here in canada.

Check the equipment lists and see what the top 20 are using. Jewell and Bix N Andy are in there. Don't recall ever seeing a Triggertech on a true benchrest rifle. I'm not sure but how low can you adjust a Triggertech? A Jewell or Bix N Andy can get down to 1.5 ounces.

4oz.
Canadian made vs not Canadian made...

I have 2 Trigger Techs, a 1st gen and the new diamond. I bought the 1st one to replace my Timmeny and it was a huge upgrade. The second one i bought after shooting my friends two jewel triggers on separate rifles. The trigger teck diamond is better in my opinion but the jewel is an amazing trigger.

They both feel different but the jewel has the slightest bit of creep before the break and the trigger tech feels heavier even at the same pull weight. If you have the ability to try them out 1st i recommend you do but in the end they are both great and you cant go wrong.

Cadex makes a great trigger also and the timmeny calvin elite is better than my old timmeny.

All these rifles were benchrest-ish rifles but not specifically made as one.

Atrs 50bmg jewel
Surgeon 338 lapua jewel
Remington 700 timmeny, triggertech
Defiance 338 lapua triggertech diamond
Rem 700 cadex
Rem 700 calvin elite

Hope this helps

I run a diamond in one of my open guns and a jewel BR in the other.
The diamond is a very heavy 4 ounce feel.
The next time I take my gun apart I will be putting the Jewell back in.
I wanted to try the diamond and see if I liked it.

Personally I don’t like it much.

Have used the bix n andy comp for 3 years and its the best I have used and imo opinion superior to the jewel. Cleaner wall and glass like brake at 1.5 oz. Has been in PRS rig and has been in all the conditions and has never let me down.

Its looking like I may stick with a Jewel as that is what the action manufacturer Borden recommends as that is what they are timed for.

Evening

Jewel over Triggertech...i have both
Flavio over Jewel
B&N vs Flavio. Draw... i own the B&N and it is a fantastic trigger. Depending on your discipline some prefer Flavio
Flavio also appears to go by the name of Sidne SerioB
but Flavio seems to be the more common name there was a parting of the ways between the two parties.

Borden Actions are trigger specific (but not brand) and are timed for that individual trigger; If you ask he will time for all three Jewel, Flavio and B&N you will have to supply him with the trigger for this service.

Jim told me the jewel was the best route for my action. He said he could time it for others but being in Canada it isnt practical .
