Trijicon Accupoint

Hi Everyone

I'm looking to purchase a Trijicon Accupoint for a bush rifle that I use for driving whitetails and close in moose hunting. I was looking at the 1-4 model. I have looked through the scope and I was impressed. Just wondering if anyone who has used one in the field could comment on optic quality, warranty, how well they feel the illuminated reticle works, and durability. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Trijicon is top notch. You don't have to worry about quality with their products. The illumination uses ambient light and tritium at night. The coloured portion in front of the occular bell is what gathers light and illuminates your reticle. The amount of fiber that is used to gather light is adjustable via the integral twist cover. During overcast days I rarely have more than about half the fiber exposed. On sunny days I cover about 80% of the fiber otherwise its far too bright.

They rock. No complaints... I really want to try out a TR23, but the TR24G I had (and now TDC has ) was very good. Excellent FOV, great glass, and the illumination of the reticle is unreal. As TDC said, it's almost TOO bright in most instances, but the FO cover works exactly as intended.

The TR24's don't have target turrets (they are capped), zero stop, or a real good reticle for drop at different distances- but for the price, the build quality and glass is VERY hard to beat.
