Looking to hear from anyone who has used / owns both.

I have a 1-8 Trijicon Accupower (as well as a couple of 1-7 Sightron STACs / 1-8 Primary Arms / 1-6 Strike Eagle) and I really like the glass and reticle however its pretty heavy.

If anyone has the Nightforce NX8 1-8 I'd be curious to hear how they compare, NX8 is quite a bit lighter / more compact according to the numbers but how is the glass and reticle?

This optic will be going on a Modern Sporter and I am trying to keep it light so this scope looks like it ticks all the boxes.

ATACR™ 1-8x24 is the best weight to performance, But price maybe prohibitive. Burris XTR II™ 1-8x24 but weight is about same as Trijicon.

Ain`t the ATACR a 34mm tube?

I like the Trijicon except its a porker, hence the NX8 with the 30mm tube

My Trijicon is 25oz. I wish there was somewhere I could handle these to help decide.

Is it really that much better than the regular NX8?

Just get a scale and measure out the different weights in loonie rolls tape on gun. See what works, each scope is 4oz less trijicon 25oz/ATACR 21oz/NX8 17oz. Don't forget the scope mount weight.

A few days late but I figure I'd add to this. I've got the Trijicon 1-8x and I've used the NX8. If I was building a light weight rifle and had to choose between the two, I'd go with the NX8, however I preferred the glass of the Trijicon 1-8x compared to the NX8. That isn't a slam against NF, I have a great NF scope, just my own impressions between the two mentioned scopes.

Second vote on Swarvo 1-8, that is if we are talking 1-8 scopes, it’s the best in its class for now
