SRO Battery Contact Issues: We've received reports of battery contact issues from customers using Duracell CR2032 batteries with bitter coating. We recommend using an Energizer CR2032 battery instead.
Greasing the Battery Cap O-Ring: Greasing the battery cap O-ring allows the cap to go further down on the threads, ensuring better contact between the battery and the electronics. It's important that the seal plate, electronics, retainer ring, and battery all fit together snugly. Lightly lubricate the O-ring and tighten the cap fully. We recommend using white grease such as Permatex 80345, White Lithium Grease, or UNIFLOR 8172.
