I recently exchanged an American Defense QD mount that wouldn't work for me, and I ended up coming home with a Trijicon Accupoint 30mm cantilever QD mount. Quality looks on point and feels very nice, although I have yet to mount it to my AR. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with these mounts? I know the American Defense mounts are supposed to retain your zero when it is removed and then replaced on the gun. I can't find any claims of the Trij being the same way? Sometimes I like a dot, and sometimes I prefer a riflescope and to go back and forth without a re-zero on my AR would be a huge bonus.

Does anybody have any real-world feedback on this? Anyone ever tried it?

Cheers.

It will retain zero similar to the other mounts. ADM/LaRue and the Trijicon mounts will retain zero to about 1 MOA in my experience. On a non-precision rifle - that's good enough for me.

Just make sure you keep it in the same slot, pushed forward, and don't mess with the adjusters. Any change in that and you're rollin the dice. Again, in my experience only.

Thanks for the info. So would be worth double checking the zero on each but shouldnt be too far out? Not like I will be swapping them daily or anything...maybe a couple times a year depending on 3-gun stage setup etc...
