They are hard to find mounts for, at the time I could only get a glock mount for mine, worked excellent. The leaupold delta point offers many more mounting options. These can take a pile of recoil so if it's wear and tear from riding on the slide you are concerned about, don't worry, they can take ten times those forces. One little difficulty is finding the dot, you need to line the pistol up fairly straight to acquire the dot, once you do accuracy is excellent. I am more used to irons, so mine came off as it took too long to find the dot in rapid situations.
It now sits on a benellis m2. Perfectthere as the dot just naturally lands along the sight plane and dot acquisition is instant. Try one first if you can they are not for everyone.
