Hello everyone,

I had a question regarding the TA-33 model. Specifically, has anyone had any use with it mounted to a 12.5" AR15?

I have searched hi and low on the internet, but when it comes to people talking about using the BDC, there hasn't been anything.

Do any of you have experience using this setup? If so, how accurate is the BDC on the ACOG in this particular setup?

Kind regards,

D

I can only comment on using the TA11 and the TA31, however the BDC worked quite well at distance. And this is just my opinion, but the TA33 on a 12.5 is pure ###, this could be the perfect choice imo.

May I ask, did you use those aforementioned ACOGs on a 12.5" setup?

As the last CGNer mentioned - I can't comment on the TA-33, but I do use the TA31F on my Swiss Arms SG 553-SP (8.9" CQB) - other than opinion, that's as good as it gets.

If you are leaning towards a red dot - NOTHING trumps the Aimpoint T-1 Micro.

If you are thinking of distance (some SBR's are up to it ...), I recommend the Elcan SpecterDR 1.5-6x. I have one of these beauties mounted on my SG 551-SP (14.3" Carbine) - 'nuff said.

And did you find the BDC to match up when shooting? What ammo weight did you use?

7.5's, 10.5's, 11.5, and 14.5 but no 12.5 yet.

Interesting, if the BDC matched up for all of those, than I would imagine that I would have no issue with a 12.5" build :)
