I'm kinda curious how many CGNers have been invited to this thing?

I registered yesterday.

Trijicon World Shooting Championship

400 of the top shooters from around the world will be competing for over $200,000 in total prizes, and all competitors will be on a level playing field as firearms and ammunition are provided.
Shooters will compete over the course of four days in twelve equally weighted, officially sanctioned disciplines from various shooting sports.

Curious as to how they are selecting the participants, if it's 400 of the best shooters in the world, they must have a list?

My money is on Jerry to win, or Taran.

Sounds like they sent out an invitation to certain champion shooters earlier on and then have recently opened it up to the general group to fill up the match. From the website..." Initial invitations to champion shooters around the world will be sent out on or near February 26th 2014. By March open registration will be available. 400 shooters total will compete. "

Sounds like a good match, should be interesting. Seems like the shooting sports are trying to package these things for possible TV broadcast. Could help grow the 3 gun/multi gun world.

Not going up against your money. That guy could do F-Class with a Glock lol The match sounds like a blast, I really wish I could attend

You mean Daniel? He's a good shooter, but Jerry and Taran are where my money would go if I were a betting man (which I'm not actually).

I would assume registration will open to the uninvited in April. The shooters who've been invited have until the end of March to register. On that basis I would assume after that then anyone could sign up.

It sounds like this will be a really really cool event.

I'm shooting this one, have to send my application back as soon as I get home this weekend.

If I was betting on a winner, I would pick Doug Koenig. This isn't really 3gun like you guys are thinking but nra style shooting with a few three gun stages. I'm going to have to work on bullseye, long distance rifle and sporting clays. I expect to do okay with cowboy, bianchi and uspsa.

Curious as to what kind of guns will be available and how many (if any) have optics.

Still thinking Jerry. He's a great shooter across the board, even precision rifle.
