Trimmer for .338 Lapua

Anybody know a trimmer to trim .338 Lapua cases?

I was looking for a case gauge for the .338LM to use with Lee's zip trim the other day.

Turns out it isn't a regular item yet but they have made some, to fill special orders.

I've been meaning to give'em a call about that.

Is it me, or is the .338 getting much more popular ?? Either I never noticed before, or more people are popping up with them.

I didn't know there was any issues with trimming these cases. I have one and use a #14 shellholder and .338 pilot on an RCBS trimmer. Am I missing something this whole time?

There's no issue.

And I think you would've noticed something was wrong if you'd been missing something, heh.

I use an RCBS Case trimmer 2.

I have a Giruad. Very nice. It's expensive, but not when you're used to .338LM rounds...

Where'd you get the Giraud?

I use a Forster. I had to buy a larger collet housing from Forster though - use collet #4. I seem to remember $12 shipped. The long base is also required. Works well.

I have two Forsters. Long and short. Works very well on everything I've tried it on so far. - dan

Redding's standard trimmer takes em no problem. Might need to order a pilot.
