Proceed to the last sentence for my real question if you don't want all the other background stuff I've been going through.
I have a Forster Precision Case Trimmer (Original Version) but none of the collets will fit the 7.62x54R and it doesn't appear that you can get one that will, for this version any way.
As a temporary work around I bought a Lee case length gauge and shell holder for the 7.62x54 and a small cutter that the case length gauge screws into. If I screw the case length gauge into the cutter all the way the brass will be trimmed way to short. If I fiddle with it, and don't screw it in all the way I can get the casings the length I want them but it is definitely not consistent. The case length gauge is not concentric to the point where only 1 of the 4 cutters is actually cutting. Plus, as I use it it seems to screw it self in a little more and then the cases get shorter.
Where can I get a reliable but not too expensive case trimmer that will trim 7.62x54R?
