Trip Wire Information required - Help

I am trying to find some information on this trip-wire. WWII? British? Canadian? American? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that is Australian. It is the type used during WW2 and prior to their adoption of the F1A1 Firing Device. Although it may have been in use by other commonwealth countries. It is not American though.

I am impressed. Thanks! Google'ing Australian WWII trip-wire reveals almost identical items. Different colors but same tags. So def commonwealth
