Triple Seven shot shell load.

I see that Hodgdon had a load with 777 and a WAA 12R wad. It calls for 70 gr of Triple 7 and 1 1/8 shot. Anyone use it?

ive loaded 777 blackpowder shells before can't remember how much tho. i think it was about 50-60 grns. leaves a lot of crap in your barrell make sure you clean it good when your done. ( also dont use your pump or semi with them. gums em up good )

See comments on other thread in regard to black powder shotshell loading re: error of using plastic shotcups with B.P. or its substitutes....I think goex Black is less expensive than 777 so can't see any advantage to it also don't know if I would trust it in my damascus barrels.

I tried that load about a year ago in a 20" coachgun. Kicked a lot harder than Goex, and only yielded 1050fps. Other than the cleanup, I thought the performance was disappointing, so I'm sticking with my Goex loads.
