I have an feg high power clone with an issue.
I bought it used here on ee.
When fired (not every time but very often) the hammer goes forward with the slide to a half ####.
Some Internet searching told me it was probably the sear.
After disassembling the gun I found the sear pin was bent.
I have replaced the pin and sear but the hammer still follows the slide even when dry cocking it. (I have not been to the range with it since.
Any thoughts as to what could be causing my problem?

Well, without actually being able to handle it, I can only spitball my best guess here. I would say have a real good hard look at the areas on the frame and slide that could touch the sear or the any part of the hammer assembly and see if there is a small burr that needs to be stoned down. also have a real good look at the hammer assembly itself, especially the bents that engage the sear. I have worked on Hi-powers for years and based on what you are saying, those are the first places I would be looking.

I don't know if you're issue is /was the same as mine, but it dose sound similar to what I was experiencing.
I was using a grease on the slide rails as a lubricant.
I removed the grease and added light oil. The problem was solved.
The grease was dragging the upper slide.

Update.
I found lots of chatter marks on the externals. after doing some polishing and 1000 grit paper it has improved immensely. I expect once I hit a few hundred rounds the problem might be gone completely.
