Trouble with 550b

hey guys, new to the reloading scene so thanks for the input.

Say i was setting up for 550b for .223 the last day. how do i know if my primer seating setting is correct?
it seems i need to push very hard in order to allow the primer to be seated, and it doesnt seems to be seating all the way. How do i know if its seated correctly?

Is there a military crimp on the primer pocket?

What were you loading before? Did you remember to switch over to the small primer slide?

PMC is crimped, and I found it to be crappy in general. It seems to corrode quickly and I found it didn't last long. Just my 0.02$ anyway.
