im having trouble with a compensator i recently purchased.
the comp has 3 vent chutes on each side to disperse the gasses off to the left and right but i find that when i thread the comp on im about 1/8 turn almost 1/4 turn past where i should be for it to be seated right.
so indead of the comp vent chutes pointing left and right at 3 and 9 they are kinda more at 10 and 4.

this is my first time using a comp that has to be in a specific angle, so is there a trick to putting it on so it will sit where i need it to sit?
only thing i can think is to go pick up a bag of thin crush washers and start putting them on one at a time until the comp is backed off to where i need it too be once threaded on?

anyone else ever have this problem?
im guessing i cant be the first person to run into this, there must be a normal way to fix this that i dont know, yes?

if im not explaining this right let me know and i can put up a couple pics.

thanks in advance for the help.

never mind, used my google-fu and found out what to do.
crush washers are to be crushed.

just wanted to make sure i didnt know some ancient guntech secret or something for lining these up.
or i guess i should say indexing them properly.

this is what you need,

or this
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...ashers/muzzle-device-shim-kits-prod60403.aspx

use any brand of shim kits, don't use crush washer thou, as it will cause misalignment issue.

never mind, found one at a canadian company for the same price as brownells.
this looks like what i need, im a little bit more comfy with putting on different thickness spacers then i am cranking a crushwasher around.

thanks!

Let's see the compensator & where did you find a CDN shim kit I'm curious? Thanks

Coretac Solutions has some PWS shim kits in.
costs more to ship them then it costs to buy them.

ive sent a email to them about shipping on this item and have yet to hear back.
