Hey guys,

I bought an Rock Island Armory 1022 clone for cheap and wanted to mount it in my Nomad stock. I was wondering if any of you tried it and what was the fit like. I gave it a go last night and it wouldn't fit too tight. Let me know how you came through and what was the outcome.

Really need help was wishing to be able to make it fit, cuz I was told it could be done.

Thx.

I used a dremel and was surprised how much material I had to remove to make a custom fit. But now its in there solid, no rattles. It really is a good, tight stock for the 10/22.

Ill try that, would it be possible to take a picture of where exactly you took off most of the material. Its my first mod so im a bit apprehensive.

Thanks for the help.

it was almost entirely from the upper part that has the 4 screws going in to the 10/22 reciever. A *lot* of trial & test fitting..it was my first mod too, so I know what you mean. Once you get it close, start looking for other areas that might be interfering with the fit. Really try to locate those - I wasted a bit of time dremelling out areas I thought were contacting the 10/22, but actually the problem was somewhere else.

Never had a prob with mag fit, other than the BX-1 10 rounder, which kind of gets lost up in the mag well. I have yet to try firing my GSG110, but the fit is solid:

OK, I took it apart to photograph. Not sure if it gives you a better idea what needs to be done, and it may even be different as the fit could vary from gun to gun. Main thing is to go slow. A dremel can get away from you in a hurry.

Wow awesome job,

İ gave it a go this morning and I'm getting the hang of the dremel.
Thank you very much for all the help, hope mine will be as sick looking as yours.
