I have spent a great deal of time searching for the needed parts for me old Remington model 12 .22 rifle. Years back, my breech block broken and the parts got misplaced. I have since found a new breech block and some of its internal parts. My question is that the firing pin that I have found doesn't seem to be the proper one. Its a flat firing pin, but had on long horizontal opening, rather than this opening along with a half moon cut out!?
Is this the correct pin that I have or should it be the one with the half moon cut out of it on the outside edge? AND should there be a spring inside this pin, inside the breech block?
I'm close to the end and just need the final bit of info.....
