Trouble with Win 100 firing pin recall in USA . Spent from Jan 4 2014 to April , wasted my time and money. A gunsmith here contacted the recall program was told to send two specific items to them . He did. They then told him they realized he was told to send these parts but this former advice was wrong and they would be returning both items to us. My smith wanted them to keep my old pin and send him the new pin and the `guide`for it as he was a certified gunsmith--- NO WAY--- So I now have back after 3 months my original parts no cheque for 30 dollars from them which I was promised so as to pay my gunsmith, and they expect me to send it all back to them again . When HE-- freezes over. Who can I contact here in Canada that knows of a solution on how to get a new firing pin put in . So much for Winchester`s service. PI-- on you Thank`s Dave in N.S.

If you want to purchase straight out, I beleive these guys use to sell just the firing pin.

Something sure doesn't sound right?
There was a Model 100 in the EE not long ago and I was interested in it.
Needed the firing pin upgrade.
I called Winchester and the gal laid it out.
Send in your old firing pin with the serial number of the rifle.
She did mention sending it in, but I told her I am up here in Kannerder.

I have 3 firing pins that have to go back for replacement. I've done many over the last 20+ years, but this will be the first time in the last 3 or 4 years. I don't think anything has changed, but who knows with the mentality south of us.
If I get any new pins back, I can help you out.

I talked to the girl at Winchester at the recall number on March 1st and she said the recall is still in effect and to return the pin with the serial number. I sent the pin on Mar.10th . I got the cheque last week for $30 American. My bank gave me $2.60 exchange rate. Should have the new pin shortly. This is the 5th one I have done and no problems. The only question she asked is that I have a gunsmith do the work .
