Im planning on purchasing some flip up sights but am having a tough time deciding between the troy or the magpul. Just curious who's running these sights and how they like them? (I'm putting them on a SR 22 in case anyone was wondering).
The magpuls are really meant as backup sights only. They are plastic. The Troy will be much more expensive and difficult to find. Check out the YHM QDS sights. They are like the Troy but less expensive and a bit nicer IMO.
Troy all the way. Best Back-up IRON Sight on the market, tough as hell and can be used as your principal sighting system if necessary. The Magpuls are plastic and are not intended for extended, continuous use under combat conditions. I consider them more of a 'use in case of an emergency' type sight. I haven't heard a single complaint about Troy BUIS to date.
Troy all the way , not too hard to find, several vendors above that sell them or on EE, hard part is getting them when they are in stock, they sell fast.
