Anyone know if a dlask custom receiver will fit in a troy t22 chassis. Have the receiver and wondering if I can do a build with the troy t22 but didn't want to get one to discover it won't fit.
Thanks

If it's got the machined in rails then definitely not, but if it's the flat top, I'm not sure. Your best bet is to phone dlask and ask.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is my T22 chassis arrived!

Bad news is the flat top Dlask receiver definitely does not fit the T22 upper section...I found this out after I fit the bull barrel and theres no way I'm getting it back out as snug is an understatement.

The Dlask fits in the lower T22 section fine, I have the adjustable V-block from Dlask and sanded down the hex bolts to almost flush with the block (as suggested on the forum) to get it to fit in the lower only to find the upper one piece guard that slides onto the lower doesn't fit as the flat top receiver has more material on top.

I either return or sell the Troy stock and go a different route OR remove material from the top of the receiver until it fits.

Return the troy stock, they look great but are absolute junk. Your optics will need a re-zero every time you pull it apart (ask me how I know) There is no positive attachment to the action besides the take down screw.

Thanks for the opinion Stecky, I was thinking that if I machined down the receiver just enough for the top rail of the Troy to slide over I could mark out and drill the top rail and counter sink some screws in order to screw the chassis to the top of the receiver to tighten the rig up but based on your comment it may not be worth the time and effort...

Well in that case I'd give that a try. If you have a solid mounting solution for the top rail so it can be indexed consistently and in a repeatable fashion then you should be good to go. Like I said it's a killer looking chassis system, with a big flaw, but if you can rectify that flaw as you mentioned it has serious potential. Good luck and let them chips fly lol.

I wont be doing it for a week or so if I decide to go that route, but I am thinking I will give it a try as I do love the look of the chassis and having the top rail screw directly into the top of two of the receiver holes should remedy that problem

I wouldn't remove metal from the receiver, but that's just me. Also, I have never had the re-zero issues when I broke down my t22 and put it back together.
