I'm also looking a reasonably priced Alpha Rail 11" no sight model.
I saw a dealer selling the Troy Alpha Rail 11" with Sight for $300, too much $$ for me

OST carries Rainier Arms snd they have their 11" rail abd it is frigging nice.

The Samson rail still uses the clamping method that Troy discontinued on their TRX line. They also use a proprietary barrel nut. I'd go with the Alpha over the Evolution.

Right now Arms East (11" & 13") and Fab Sports (11", more expensive) are the only two dealers in Canada with Alpha rails in stock. Both only have the built in sight model, which seems pricy but when you factor in that you no longer need to buy a Troy folding front sight for $120+ bucks, it's a little more manageable.

If you want the VTAC version, you can check with Mil Arm in Edmonton. They should have stock, but you cannot use the TRX style accessories with out modification, the best of which is the Noveske TRX QD mount. It's the slickest sling mount available for the Troy rail. There's a CGN'r selling them in the EE if you do a search.
