I just recieved some positive feedback from Troy Industries on the Sopmod II with rail stock for the M-14 rifle. They are currently working on trying to get export permits . It is a great stock and a great alternative to the elusive Sage. I asked them to let me know when it is available for export and plan on keeping in touch, I really want one bad. I will let ya know when I hear more. I'm betting they could probably sell a couple hundred just off this board.

As the distributor in Canada I can tell you that I have been working extremely hard to import the stocks, I was informed that the product should be available in June, for those who are interested please contact me to preorder the stocks, due to the cost involved I will be requesting deposits on them, as for hundreds of stocks being sold:) - I would be pleased with 10-20 units being sold in Canada.

Ok 100's slightly optimistic;) :) I was thinking of my own personal collection:p ;) :) I do believe they will do very well. CQB services you must be the one who e-mailed me I thought it was a division of Troy Industries I will definately be contacting you. And as I said in the e-mail very interested. Since your on the board what do you expect the Canadian Dollar amount for this stock to be?

+1 At 800us$ i don't think they'll sell that well.

I hear what your saying cpt.canuck, but this is my take on the price, and why I think it is still a bargain. A comparable rifle say a SIG .223 since not in .308 yet or an AR-10 is going to run you the better part of $2,500-$3,000 Canuck buck. You can buy a Springfield Armoury M-14 for around the same...$2,500 +- options pending. The advantage we Canadians have is we can buy a Complete Norinco M-305 and rape it of the action and build a darn fine tac-driver copy of a Springfield for under $1000 canuck bucks. Then you figure that it uses a 7.62/.308 cartridge, is non restricted and can go anywhere add a Troy industries Sopmod stock at guessing $1500 Canuck Bucks I figure it to be a very economical rig and will outshoot and out run alot of other rifles in that class.

I say bargain;) :) And put me down for one!! Possibly 2 when the wife see's what I have done.:)

Just an opinion
