Have any improvements been made since they went to the new foreend a few years back? Like many things the price has gone up a fair bit..... looks like about a 75% increase.

Just wondering if they ever made some simple improvements to some of the small issues the orginal design had with the way the action bars connected to the bolt and also the action release mechanism breaking on some guns. I beleive the change in pump design was meant to improve the issue the first gen had with the way the action bars connected but I've never seen a real good demonstration by Troy around what some of the problems were and what they have done in the last 6-7 years to address them?

I don't want to buy one based on principle alone lol

It's a good rifle if you don't need a semi.. I was thinking or Ruger Scout initially, but Troy provides more modularity at a lower price point. And practical rate of fire is higher than a bolt. Ordered a .308 version recently, looking forward to having fun with it.

+ you can build a 'shorty' with Factory short barrels. & having AR agronomics & parts is a + over bolt or those 'straightpull' bs ones. I def would like one in both calibers.

Yep, I'm thinking of converting my 18" barrel 308 to a shorty with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel at some point in the future. Straight pull ones just have ergos of a malfunctioning semi auto, even a K31 has better ergos then straigh pull ARs.
