Troy PAR Battle Axe stock not coming off.

Hi Guys,

Trying to remove the standard stock on the Troy PAR buffer tube. I am pulling down on the tab as normal with all AR-15 buffer tubes but for some reason this one is not coming off and can hear the pin hitting the last cog in the buffer tube so not slipping over it. Tried lubricating, brand new so definitely stiff. Any tips and tricks feel like an idiot going to gunsmith for this

Might have to use a thin flat blade screwdriver to lift that pin manually. I've had to do that occasionally.

If you open the back of the butt stock by pressing down on the sliding button in the middle of the butt

You will see the pin you have to press down to remove it

Is the buffer tube mil-spec? Just wondering about stock replacement? That standard stock looks terrible!
