Troy PAR magazine seating issue

New TROY PAR in .223 wont properly seat mags unless the action is closed.

Have tried the polymer Troy mag that came with it.

Anyone else have this problem or am I in need of a repair?

I have a .223, no problems here. I use LAR mags, have never shot the mag it came with, but it seats fine.

That is odd.
If the mags are new, your rifle may have a broken or warped mag catch. The closed bolt may somehow help the mag engage in the slot due to resistance? Don't have a Troy rifle so guessing.

No issue here and bought mine around March 2017. I have both Troy mag and the LAR15 metal mag. No problem here except action won't hold open with empty LAR15 metal mag while the factory Troy mag wont' allow me to close action with an empty mag.
