I came across these tonight while doing some clean up in the storage garage at the club. They were piled in with some white flyer targets that had been picked up unbroken and set aside to use again. Lord knows how long they have been piled under the junk pile I found them under? I vaguely recall the name True Flight. My memory tells me these were sold at Canadian Tire many moons ago? They are identical in shape and size to the old model Lawry Targets. Anyone recall these or have any info on them? I set a few aside as souvenirs and the rest I loaded into the skeet machines to be :shotgun:

Caldwell Industries is still in business in N. Vancouver, B.C. as far as I know. Their website, however, has been "under construction" for years.

We used to see their targets for sale in Wholesale Sports, but I have not seen them on the Prairies since Wholesale went out of business.

Our Club has been using them since last fall. They have been working fine.

I did not notice a change in shape or pattern from when we threw them years ago.

Do you guys find they do not break as nice as Lawry or White Flyers? I find them a much harder target in hand to break than WF and when shot(centred) definitely don't turn into the boiling black ball a WF or Lawry target does. Turns out these are the targets that were being thrown at Western Zone. I saw the empty boxes piled up for recycling after the shoot that said Caldwell on them but didn't realize Caldwell were True Flight targets. I found those targets though hit hard weren't showing "spectacular" breaks. I
mixed some in with WF targets on the skeet field last night and you could see the difference in breaks when centred good. Lots of pieces but no big black cloud except on a few stations like 1 low, 7 low and the 8 hi-lo....no complaints just an observation.

The biodegradeable don't break worth a damn. I shot those at NOTSC in Vernon one year and the scores were noticably lower. It took almost a dead on hit from a full choke to break them. Lots of puffs of dust but no break. The last time I shot in Vernon they had changed back and the targets just exploded.
