In the coming weeks we will launch True North Report - a fresh voice for Canada.


I’d like to thank you for your interest and tell you a little more about what you can expect from True North Report.

At True North Report we will report the facts.

We will go head-first into the hottest stories.

We will cover the stories that are ignored, not for shock value but because they are important.

We will share original ideas on how to better Canada.

We will not simply sit on the sidelines and complain about what is wrong.

We will deliver value to our audience by looking for new and innovative ways to improve our product.

We will not be complacent.

Let's hope they can be more... Professional. And less biased/slanted.

To be clear, I support fact based reporting, but Sun news was pretty ridiculous in a lot of their reporting.
It felt like they were yelling at the camera way too much.

I agree. And although I don't like the theatrics and very heavily biased reporting (sure that's fine when you express it as your opinion). I do respect the crew for speaking what they think, and loved the fact that Sun News would actually cover issues and parts of stories that NEVER seen the light of day through any other media outlet.
 
Please no discussion if you loved or hated Sun News, it wasn't the purpose of this post. I posted this to help out someone who was recently unemployed.

I'll support them, but the costs required to run a professional news organization.... are astronomical.

200 people worked for Sun TV, full time. Ezra et al were totally biased, but they were biased on our side, which makes them OK by me.

Moreover they were were frankly accurate on many issues:
-David Suzuki's hypocrisy
-the Occupy movement
-High River gun grab


Lilley and Goldie reported very well on gun issues, and gave people like Solomon Friedman a forum for his very good commentaries.




A time is coming when we are going to need someone other than the mainstream media to tell even the most obvious truths in this country. Every voice that might play this role will need our support.

As a news junkie I'm excited to see this. I like to see as many different points of view on a topic as possible. And if I'm not mistaken Faith shoots as a hobby so she has good bead on firearm issues.
 
Good on Faith for keeping on I got that email to. Sucks that sun is gone they were honest and didn't hide the facts not like ctv and cbc.
