I have a set of Truglo TFO sights on my Glock 17 Gen 4 and when I first installed them, I couldn't get the front sight tight enough, it still had a very small amount of play. I ended up using some red loctite and putting the sight tool on a larger screwdriver and giving it as much torque as I could. It lasted for quite a while, but now has started to come loose again.

Anyone have any tricks to get a Glock front sight on tight and have it stay in place permanently?

it got loose with red loctite????

You want permanent- crazy glue!!!!!! (Just joking)

I would have thought red loctite would have done the trick. Sorry I cant be of more help

There is a special tool to tighten the front site, are you using that?

Yes, I used the tool, but for some reason this sight just doesn't tighten all the way. I'm starting to wonder if the sight is defective and it is just the post itself that is loose. Am going to have another look.

I have the exact same issue on mine, even with the locktite it came loose. Going to try to tighten it again, then I'm looking for a new FS.

Ended up doing a detail strip and clean of my Glock and removed the front sight, re-applied a generous amount red loctite and really torqued it back on. It isn't moving anywhere now. We'll see how it holds up after another few hundred rounds.

Maybe there is something defective with the post. If it happens again, I'm going to replace the sights.
